Lulu’s Garden • Baldwin City, Kansas

Today I worked remotely and rode along with my husband, Dr. S. Jason, to Baldwin City, Kansas so we could meet Pam Bramlett, owner of Lulu’s Garden. In his work for Ogden Publications (which prints Mother Earth News, GRIT Magazine, UTNE Reader, Mother Earth Living, and more!) Jason is featuring 715 Restaurant in Lawrence, KS and a dish they serve with food provided by local, small farmers. Lulu’s Garden provides the herbs and so we went to find out more!

Happy Fall Equinox

Toni States, volunteer on the farm, points to where she’s been working on a compost area.

The Doctor shoots footage of Toni, standing with owner of Lulu Gardens, Pam, talking about how she came from California to find herself helping with both this farm and others.

Pam Bramlett, owner of Lulu’s, talks to us about her work in providing local businesses with fresh produce during the growing seasons.

The garden was full of monarch butterflies, and they didn’t seem to mind us!

Here I am, live on the scene, clipboard in hand, which means I’m ready to take notes!
